My name is Jason Thomas Rosa. I stand at a modest five foot six inches, and am only slightly overweight weighing in at one hundred and seventy pounds. My hair is quite black, though there is some red in my beard, and my eyes are a deep brown. In July of ‘06 I turn twenty-eight, although most of the time I act a lot younger and feel a lot older.

I was born and raised in Litchfield County to a sturdy traditional family who brought me up with strong morals. The experiences that took me out into the world and brought me back again would take many pages to delineate. Suffice it to say, I learned a great deal about people, life, and the changes that inevitably come about in each of them, for good or ill. In the end, I came home again battered and beaten, the prodigal son.

My life now is focused around education and hard work. I have come to understand the importance of discipline in my life, and the satisfaction that comes from putting all I have into completing a goal. Above all else, I seek to understand the world around me, not just through my formal education of science, history, art, and literature, but also through an exploration of religions, philosophy, and simple faith. I feel as if my life is some small part of a great story, one in which I have a not insignificant part to play. It is through an understanding of the world that I hope I can be best prepared for whatever this role is.

I call myself a Warrior Scholar because I believe that the great enemy of mankind is ignorance. Through enlightenment and understanding we can overcome a foe that is responsible for so many of the countless hardships that we face on this earth. When I decided to dedicate my life to being a teacher, I chose to become a part of this fight. I hope that in some humble way, I can use the things that I have learned and the truths I have found to bring some small enlightenment to the people I will meet.

Yet, this is just my wish. I still have a part to play in this great story, and no one has the wisdom to really know what that will be. All there is for me to do is continue to learn, continue to prepare, and to have faith that God has put me on the right path. I need scant little else to be content.
